James Ulyatt
Vessel Operations and Project Support
James grew up sailing on Martha’s Vineyard, beginning in Optimists and later spending three years living aboard a sailboat before high school. He sailed competitively through his school years and has worked professionally in yachting since 2017. His experience spans classic sailing yachts from 20 to 42 meters and includes notable events such as the Camden Classics Cup (2024), two Newport–Bermuda Races, and several offshore campaigns.
Role at Grand Prix Resources
As part of the Grand Prix Resources operations team, James serves as a general contractor and vessel manager, supporting the running, maintenance, and competitive sailing programs of projects such as Weatherly. His responsibilities include systems upkeep, crew coordination, and race preparation, ensuring each vessel operates safely, efficiently, and at peak performance.
